Register for a seat on PPTC's buses to the start of the New York City Marathon. (Runners Only)
Registration for PPTC Friends and Family is now available!
PPTC is proud to continue our decades-long tradition of chartering coach buses to transport runners in comfort and style to the NYC Marathon start in Staten Island. The buses will be leaving from Fleet Feet in Park Slope (474 Fifth Avenue at 11th Street) and will take you directly to Fort Wadsworth. Before you board the bus, Fleet Feet will be providing a bathroom, a place to be warm and dry, and the opportunity to purchase any last-minute items. Additionally, there will be a lavatory available on each of the buses.
All PPTC bus riders will need to be in front of Fleet Feet by 5:15AM to be checked in. The last bus leaves promptly at 5:45AM. Pre-registration for a seat on the bus is required.
Bag Check:
We are offering bag check so you can have clean, dry clothes and other belongings waiting for you at the PPTC post-race reunion at PS 87 in Manhattan. Bags (small ones, please) will be driven on Sunday morning from Fleet Feet to PS 87.
There will be early bag-check available on Saturday for PPTC members who are not taking the bus. The hours for the Saturday bag drop will be posted closer to Marathon day. If you are taking the PPTC buses to the start, you should bring your bag with you on Sunday morning to check before you board the bus.
If you need anything at Fort Wadsworth, do not put it in your checked bag! Do not take your post-race bag onto the bus. The buses are returning to their depot in Staten Island after dropping you off outside the Fort and are not returning to Brooklyn.
Bag check on Sunday morning will be from 5AM to 5:45AM (when the last bus departs). DO NOT TAKE YOUR POST-RACE BAG ONTO THE BUS.
Please make sure that you have the following on the outside of your bag:
- FIRST AND LAST NAME
- phone number
- bib number
- starting wave number
PS 87 is located between Columbus and Amsterdam Avenues, a short distance from the NYRR Marathon Reunion area on Central Park West. Use the school's rear entrance on the north side of West 77th Street (141 West 77th St.) to access the PPTC post-race reunion.
Bus Registrations are non-refundable, unless otherwise specified.
Member registrations may only be transferred to other currently active PPTC members. Please let us know about any transfers.
PPTC Friends and Family registrations will not be refundable or transferrable.
Note: In the past NYRR has asked us to provide them with the list of people who will be taking the PPTC buses. When you register to take the bus, you will be asked for the email address associated with your NYRR account.
